STAGE ONE

Casting

Molten metal poured into a carved mold, still rough with sprue marks where it fed into the cavity.

STAGE TWO

Filing

Shaped and sized by hand with files and a mandrel, not a pre-sized blank pulled off a shelf.

STAGE THREE

Setting

The stone seated in a bezel cut to its exact girdle, then the metal pushed over the edge by hand, not glued.

STAGE FOUR

Polishing

Buffed through successive grits until the surface holds a true reflection, not just a shine.
